Events - Joint WFRN & WIFC

The City of Wolverhampton Faith Partnership is now made up of the Wolverhampton Inter Faith Council and the Wolverhampton Faith and Regeneration Network. We share a common vision and values. The objective of this website is to provide a single focal and information point of the work of the WIFC and WFRN and faith related issues in the City.

In June 2007 a Declaration Document was signed at the Civic Ceremony by the Chairs of the named faith organisations. This Declaration Document set out the intent of the three faith organisations to work closer together in true partnership and thereby being able to better meet the needs of the faith communities of the city.

Wolverhampton Inter Faith Council

In 2004 the Wolverhampton Inter Faith Group celebrated its 30th anniversary. Changes to its title occurred in 2007 when it became The Wolverhampton Inter Faith Council. Although it was founded in 1974 its origins go back to 1968 when local and national faith leaders came together in Wolverhampton to create dialogue between the differing faiths that were becoming established.

WIFC was one of the first such groups in the country. It offered a common ground for different individuals and community groups and empowered both with understanding and mutual respect.
