Wolverhampton Inter Faith Council
Annual Pilgrimage Event
On Saturday 30th June 2007 members of Wolverhampton Inter Faith Council will make their annual pilgrimage. A party of about 30 will leave at 10.30am from the Shri Krishna Hindu Temple, Marston Road, Wolverhampton.
This year we will call at the Shri Venkateswara Balaji Temple of UK in Oldbury who, after a general welcome and look around, will provide us with lunch. After this we will move to the Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha Temple in Birmingham. Here we will stay for approximately 2 hours, before returning to Wolverhampton at about 4.30pm.

Faith Regeneration will be holding Faith Forums and Training events throughout the year this will be through Communities of Interests initiative. Forums which will be held are:
- Greener Faith Communities - 5 December 2007 - What does your faith say about looking after the environment? What is the role of the faith communities. Have your say on Green Issues!
- Faith & Young People - What are young peoples views on living in a multi faith community? How do they get their voice heard?
- Community Cohesion - How can we live in a harmonious community? Role of faith communities in community cohesion.
- Health & Wellbeing - What are the faith and cultural issues regarding health care in our community?
- Faith Distinctive - How to stay faith distinctive in a multi faith community? Protecting your faith identify when running projects that are accessible to people of other faiths/backgrounds.

It was identified through a survey which was sent out to all faith communities of Wolverhampton wish to have training delivered on:-

- Capacity Building - took place 24 July 2007, was well attended.

- Understanding Local Area Agreements
- Monitoring & Evaluation
