It’s No Joke… Comic Relief Fund Grapevine

The Grapevine drop in at Lanesfield Methodist Church in Laburnum Road, Lanesfield has received a welcome financial shot in the arm courtesy of a Comic Relief grant for £5,000.

Partnership Working… Grapevine Leader Vida Dugmore with FRU Lead Officer, John WaterfieldFRU assisted the group in submitting the bid, which has secured the future of the Grapevine for next year and enabled them to double the number of people who attend the group. The aim of the Grapevine, since it was set up in March 2003, is to offer social activities to lone older people, many of whom have long term illness and are struggling to remain independent in their homes — indoor games & crafts, guest speakers and refreshments. Transport is also provided.
