St. Gregory’s Church, Wednesfield

Awarded £5,000 from Church Urban Fund

We are pleased to confirm that St. Gregory’s Church, Wednesfield has been awarded £5,000 from the Church Urban Fund - Home ‘Mustard Seed,’ programme.

A brief has been prepared to guide consultants in the undertaking of a consultation to inform the potential re-development of the church site and buildings using the Planning for Real™ process to determine the requirements of the community within the Parish.

The PCC believe that the current buildings may no longer meet the requirements of the parish and its community and believe that redevelopment or substantial investment may be needed to secure the long-term future. The Leadership and Management Team of the church have had detailed discussions about the way forward for the future mission and ministry and how we can best relate to the community’s needs.

We at St Gregory the Great church are very grateful to the Church Urban Fund and the work of Wolverhampton Faith and Regeneration Network in the in allotting of this award for Planning For Real. This will allow the church to determine what the community requirements are. This will allow the church to become a hub of the community and play an active role within it.
